Your comic library, wishlist, and cover photos are stored on your device only — never uploaded to our servers.
We do not operate a user account system or sync your collection to our servers.
Online searches send queries to GCD and Metron to retrieve comic metadata.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers.
A one-time in-app purchase to remove ads is processed entirely by Google Play.
Submit a bug is optional: you choose what to send via your own email app.

When you use online features, the app contacts the following services over encrypted HTTPS. These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control how they process requests.

Settings includes Submit a bug, which lets you describe a problem and open your device's email app with a draft message. Longbox does not send email on its own — nothing is transmitted until you send the message from your email app.

You may add or remove information in the email before sending. Do not include sensitive personal data unless you are comfortable sharing it with support.
Email providers: Sending uses your installed email client (for example Gmail or Outlook). That provider's privacy policy and terms apply to delivery and storage of the message.
The app lets you optionally take a photo or select an image from your gallery to use as a cover for a comic in your collection. Cover photos are stored on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers or transmitted to any third party.
If you delete a comic entry or uninstall the app, associated cover photos stored by the app will be removed.
The camera is used locally on the device for two purposes: optionally capturing a cover photo (see above) and, if barcode scanning is enabled in your build, reading barcodes to look up issues. Images and barcode data are processed on-device and are not uploaded to Longbox servers.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your IP address, device identifiers, Google Advertising ID, device type, and OS version to serve and measure ads. You can manage ad preferences in Settings → Privacy & ad preferences within the app, or by going to Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device and enabling Opt out of Ads Personalization.

You may purchase a one-time Remove ads option through Google Play. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play — we do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase status is stored on your device and can be restored via Google Play on reinstall.
The app is not directed at children under 13. Because the app displays advertisements and collects advertising identifiers through AdMob, it is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used this app, please contact us.
All network communication between the app and third-party services (AdMob, GCD, Metron, Google Play) uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Local data is stored using standard Android app storage, protected by your device's built-in security. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
